Moving Beyond Digital Publishing: How BuzzFeed Drives Innovation for Mega Brands

Wed, May 15, 2019 1:01 PM EDT{LOCAL_TZ}

As one of the leading digital media companies in North America, BuzzFeed has developed a groundbreaking commerce model that strategically brings its digital brands to life. To start, BuzzFeed transformed Tasty from an online juggernaut to a comprehensive IRL (in-real-life) experience with a successful kitchenware line, a series of best-selling cookbooks, and a selection of global food products. The company has since applied its cutting-edge approach to the marketplace through strategic, creative consulting and partnerships that span across all industries. Leveraging data-based insights and a sharp understanding of its massive audience, BuzzFeed helps top brands solve their toughest marketing problems, create new products, and reach consumers in new ways. In this session, Jake Bronstein, Head of Partner Innovation at BuzzFeed, will share how BuzzFeed collaborates with diverse brands like A1, Scotts Miracle-Gro, and Microsoft; how its unique “Sprints” program takes partners from ideation to product in less than a week; and how BuzzFeed is challenging traditional production and distribution models.
