Reimagining the Trade Show

Live Webcast on Wed, Mar 13, 2019 2:01 PM EDT

ABOUT THE WEBINAR

Traditional trade show formats will not attract tomorrow’s attendees — maybe not even today’s. We’ll hear from show directors on the front lines about how they’ve met modern-day challenges head-on to keep their events relevant and thriving. These innovative executives all took a chance, and they’ll explain how their efforts have paid off.

Moderator: Michael J. Shapiro, Editor, Technology, Northstar Meetings Group

Association of Equipment Manufacturers

As senior vice president of exhibitions and events for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, Megan Tanel is responsible for overseeing AEM trade shows and show partnerships in the United States and globally, as well as event education and meeting programs. She has been on the IAEE board since 2010 and is a graduate of the IAEE Krakoff Leadership Institute. In 2017, she received the IAEE Woman of Achievement Award and IAEE Distinguished Service Award; she has similarly been recognized with numerous trade show honors from leading industry media. Megan was co-chair of the inaugural Exhibitions Day event in Washington, D.C., in 2014. She is also a member of the Professional Convention Management Association.

Megan joined AEM in 1995 in the exhibitions area. She also served a stint as national sales manager for Loews Hotels, where she helped launch the first-ever House of Blues Hotel, in Chicago.
