Integrated Management of Fusarium Wilt of Watermelon

Fusarium wilt of watermelon is a widespread, serious, and persistent disease on watermelon in the United States. This disease is difficult to control, so the best option is a combination of techniques. Management options include using resistant cultivars, fungicides, grafting, cover cropping, and delayed transplanting. Dr. Keinath will discuss his experiences testing these techniques over the past 15 years.
