Building a Secure Smart Lighting System in 4 Steps

This event was originally broadcast on November 13, 2018 and is now available for on demand viewing.

Event Description:

The latest connected spaces applications rely on secure, accurate data about a building and its occupants. To collect these data, there is no better way than through the IoT-powered lighting system.

However, before you get to collect and analyze those data, you first need to build a secure smart lighting system. Typically, that involves the following steps:

  1. Create devices with the right OS, security credentials, connectivity agent, and a boot loader

  2. Connect the devices to the cloud through the protocol of your choice

  3.  Manage the devices over their lifetime including transfer of ownership, remote firmware updates, monitoring device health, and more

  4. And finally, ingest, orchestrate, and transform device data, and integrate it with non-IoT data before you can analyze, visualize, and gain actionable insights

This webinar discusses the 4 steps for laying the foundation for your secure smart lighting system that will significantly reduce time to value. A live demonstration will illustrate the simple steps to assemble such a system based on readily available modules and software stacks.
