Collaborating with other agencies during emergency situations poses unique and difficult challenges in addition to the normal stress faced by first responders and incident commanders. Without the right technology and pre-existing collaboration plans in place, incidents can quickly descend into chaos and the safety of first responders could be compromised. In this webcast, learn from industry and technology experts about the strategies and solutions that other agencies around the country have implemented to better collaborate during a multi-agency response.

Anthony Kastros is a 31-year veteran of the fire service and Battalion Chief with Sacramento Metro Fire District, currently supervising 12 companies. He is author of the best-selling Fire Engineering book and video series, Mastering the Fire Service Assessment Center, the 3-part DVD series, Mastering Fireground Command - Calm the Chaos, and the DVD, Mastering Unified Command - From Hometown to Homeland, that focuses on unified command on larger incidents such as active shooter, natural and man-made disasters.
Chief Kastros deployed to New York on 9/11 as a USAR Team Manager with Sacramento FEMA Task Force 7. He has spent 4 years with a Type 1 Incident Management Team traveling the Nation to manage large-scale incidents. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Human Resource Management, an Associate’s of Science in Fire Technology, and is a certified Fire Officer for California.
Kastros and his wife Cynthia are the owners of, though which they have taught thousands of emergency responders in leadership, officer development, command and tactics throughout America. He was the Fire Department Instructor’s’ Conference International keynote speaker in 2013.

Mark Krizik

Mark Krizik an active firefighter/paramedic and serves as a Lieutenant with the Posen Fire Department which is located in the south suburbs of Chicago. In addition, Mark is a Product Specialist for Motorola Solutions, Inc. focusing on the Fire Market in the U.S. and Canada and works out of Motorola’s corporate office in downtown Chicago, IL.  Mark received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois in 1990 and has worked for Motorola since graduating.  He spent the first 26 years at Motorola in product development as a system design engineer working on Motorola’s Project 25 radio systems. He transitioned roles at the beginning of 2017 and now promotes Motorola’s mission-critical applications for the fire market. Mark is a committee member of the NFPA 1221 Standard for the Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Emergency Services Communications Systems.

As a member of the Motorola Solutions Global Marketing team, Michael Doerk leads the creation and implementation of marketing strategies for the carrier-integrated broadband push-to-talk (PTT) portfolio, including solutions for Multimedia Messaging, Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Interoperability and Application Programming Interfaces. Prior to his role at Motorola Solutions, Mr. Doerk held marketing management positions at Airbus DS Communications, Nortel, Ericsson, and other technology companies.
