Household luminaires come into scope of the WEEE regulations in January 2019. This means that manufacturers, importers and re-branders must join a WEEE Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS) by November 2018. Nigel Harvey will give practical guidance of what this means to lighting, and what lighting producers

Nigel has worked in the Product Compliance Industry since 1990 in a variety of senior management roles covering marketing, business development, and operational management. Nigel joined Recolight as Chief Executive and Company Secretary in 2009. He is very active in both the lighting and WEEE sectors; he is a representative of the Lighting Industry Association, Chairman of the UK's WEEE compliance scheme trade association and member of the BSI committee that reviews WEEE standards to name a few.

Nigel has published over 40 articles on WEEE and lighting over the last four years.  Nigel was voted Lux Magazine Person of the year in 2012 and was twice named by Resource Magazine as one the UK’s 100 most influential people in the waste/resources industry.
