About the Speakers

Jami Stapelmann brings knowledge and experience in strategic planning, project management and innovation concentrated in the travel/hospitality sector. She began her career as a buyer for Macy's department stores and has held various management and leadership positions. Her current role at Estee Lauder Companies, is Executive Director Global Travel and Meeting Services. She was recently named one of the Top 25 Influencers in the Meetings Industry by Successful Meetings and was selected as one of the Top 25 Women in the Meetings Industry by Meetings and Conventions Magazine. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin and GLP designation from the Wharton School.

Meredith Smith is an energetic, highly strategic meetings and travel leader with extensive international experience, predominantly on the buyer side. Her 20 years in the sector spans companies such as Hyatt, Starwood, Expedia, Intel and Merck & Co. In April 2018, Smith joined travel and meetings engagement consultancy FESTIVE ROAD as Principal for the Americas region. Directly prior, she led Merck's Global Travel, Meetings and Payments program across 72 countries. Smith has been recognized for her results driven, direct transparent system, as well as for her ability to challenge the status quo. During her carrer, she has served on boards for ACTE, United Airlines and Marriott Hotels. She is a frequent industry speaker, most recently at the ACTE Global Summit in New York.

Kim Heche joined Grant Thornton LLP in 2016, and is responsible for the firm’s travel, meetings, and corporate card programs. Grant Thornton is one of the world’s leading organizations of independent audit, tax and advisory services. Heche has a long career in the travel industry, previously serving as Vice President - Global Travel, Meetings & Events for Aon Corp., as well as holding senior leadership positions in account management and operations at both American Express and Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
