Rapid Application Development with NXP AUTOSAR Software

Being an AUTOSAR Premium partner since its inception, NXP supports this industry standard by offering production intent AUTOSAR Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) and Operating System (OS) software for use on our automotive microcontrollers and processors. This software is developed to comply to Automotive SPICE® and Functional Safety ISO 26262 standards.

NXP AUTOSAR MCAL and OS packages are designed to be configured with Elektrobit’s EB Tresos Studio tool, which is included in our software packages. Through standardized APIs and configuration interface formats based on XML, our software can be integrated with other software from the ecosystem architecture and configuration tools offered by third parties.

 During this 45-minute Webinar, speakers introduce the NXP AUTOSAR MCAL Software and what you need to get started. The session is intended for engineers either getting started or interested in seeing how to use AUTOSAR MCAL to generate and implement code. “Hello world” level examples are presented using the Elektrobit Tresos Studio configuration tool to generate code which is then used in application code.

Dr. Marius Rotaru, Technical Director/Software Architect, Automotive Microcontrollers Group, NXP

Marius Rotaru received a degree in electronics engineering from the University of Craiova in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunication from the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest in 2013.  Since joining NXP in 2004, he has developed and coordinated different software projects in the Telecommunication (Wireless Mobile) and Automotive areas. He is now a Software Architect responsible for defining the architecture of NXP Automotive Software products.  Marius is also the NXP representative in the AUTOSAR consortium, where he is contributing to the definition of the main automotive industry software architecture standard, with a main focus on security and functional safety.

Frantisek Dobes, Senior Member, Technical Staff, NXP

Frantisek Dobes is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at NXP in the Czech Republic, working as a Software Technical Leader and Software Customer Engineer.  He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Since joining NXP in 2000, Frantisek has participated in SW development of multiple products.  His expertise in AUTOSAR Software is key for NXP Software development and the deployment of NXP AUTOSAR Software into automotive grade customer applications.
