About the Speakers

Jeff Berall is Senior Global Travel Manager for The MathWorks. Joining The MathWorks in 2014, Jeff brings nearly a decade of experience from the supplier side after holding many different roles with United Airlines. Most recently in the development and implementation of enterprise technology following the airlines’ merger with Continental Airlines. After spending years of very high frequency travel, he brings a focus of traveler centricity to The MathWorks travel program.

Michelle Grant
is Travel Administration Manager for Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. Michelle has managed the travel program at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers for more than eight years, after 16 years working as the company’s lead travel agent. Michelle runs a comprehensive SME travel program, managing external and internal relationships related to travel, card and expense, supplier negotiations, and meetings management including sourcing, logistics, and budgets. She is active in industry association and conferences and co-chaired the Association of Corporate Travel Executives’ Canada Regional Council in 2015-16.

Al Mazzola is Director Global Finance, Travel Services, Sykes. Al boasts more than 40 years in the travel industry. He opened a travel agency in New York in 1977, which he sold in 1988 when he went to work for Eastern Airlines as an account manager. Since 1992, has managed travel at Sykes, earning accolades for his principled, thorough and direct approach to managing the category

Elizabeth West is the Editor-in-Chief of Business Travel News and Travel Procurement magazines. She has researched and reported on the business travel and meetings industries for 15 years. She has developed online education forums for business travel and meetings managers, and frequently moderates education sessions at industry conferences. Prior to her work with BTN, Elizabeth was the Director of Content Solutions for ProMedia. travel, a startup business travel media company that merged with BTN in 2011. She also served as the Editor-in-Chief of MeetingNews magazine and has produced editorial, research and educational content in partnership with numerous business travel industry suppliers and associations.
