About the Speakers

Cindy Shumate has managed travel and meetings programs for some of the most prestigious companies and organizations in the U.S., including Estee Lauder and Princeton University. She joined Regeneron in 2016 as senior manager of travel and meetings where business travel safety and security has become a cross-functional effort as the organization digs deeper into data requirements and protocol.

Joel Baum, is Senior Manager of Indirect Strategic Sourcing for Harris Corporation, where he is responsible for the business strategies, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement efforts across all indirect spend areas, including travel which has been a key focus area for him over the past five years.

Evan Konwiser joined American Express Global Business Travel in 2014, responsible for digital technology and the traveler experience, including mobile and online booking as vice president, digital traveler. With deep experience in technology, innovation and emerging travel trends, Konwiser is a prolific industry blogger and speaker on consumer and business travel topics. Previously, he built several travel start-ups and spent several years consulting for travel management companies, airlines, global distribution systems and other travel firms.

Tony D’Astolfo, a 35-year travel industry veteran with deep expertise in travel and technology, rejoined Deem as senior vice president and chief commercial officer. Previously, he was Managing Director of Phocuswright research and consulting; Chief Sales Officer for tech-enabled ground transportation company GroundLink; and Senior Vice President of Travel Services at Deem/Rearden Commerce. Earlier, he also worked at GetThere and United Airlines.

Mary Ann McNulty is Director of The BTN Group’s Content Solutions, which produces webinars, white papers, research and custom content.
