Linux on IBM Power Systems is an architecture built for performance and
designed for the future.  The advantages of POWER8 over x86 servers
are many: Faster memory bandwidth, superior GPU acceleration, increased
threads, massive cache, and better processor performance per core.  All of
these advantages make POWER8 the ideal platform for large Linux workloads
such as Open Source databases, high performance computing, in-memory
databases such as SAP HANA,big data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
