Legionella pneumophila was identified as the causative agent of Legionnaires’ disease 40 years ago. Since then, research and case investigations have progressed our understanding of the disease but there are still significant gaps in our knowledge and capabilities which may hamper our ability to detect infection and control sources. This webinar will describe recent findings in the Legionella field and explore their potential impact on public health investigations. Research gaps that should be addressed as a priority will be highlighted.
