Smart Beta strategies have proliferated over the past couple years and have evolved to become more complex and more active. There is now a very wide, and confusing, array of strategies, products and providers. The question isn’t only which strategy is most effective, but which approaches fit best within a particular portfolio and meet the investor’s specific objectives. As smart beta strategies incorporate more factors, cost control, risk management, and tactical management become larger concerns.

The Smart Beta webinar will survey various approaches. In addition, attendees will hear how organizations have structured themselves to most effectively manage their smart beta strategies and how these strategies fit into the overall investment plan. Topics to be discussed include:

  • Creating an investment organization that utilizes smart beta strategies efficiently and effectively
  • Re-thinking risk management to mitigate both investment and operational risks
  • Performance management techniques for smart beta strategies
  • Tracking costs to ensure that the lower cost benefits of smart beta strategies are fully realized
  • Choosing the right strategies for your investment objectives
