William “Bill” Dawson is the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering for Ryder System, Inc., a FORTUNE 500® commercial fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain solutions company. In this role, he is responsible for driving operational excellence throughout Ryder’s 800 service locations in North America supporting a network of more than 40,000 customers and over 165,000 vehicles.
Previously, Mr. Dawson served as the Company’s Vice President of Operations for the Central and Northeast Region. He began his career with Ryder in 1998 as a Management Trainee in King of Prussia, Pa. During his tenure, he assumed various roles of increasing responsibility, including Business Development Manager, General Manager, Director of Sales, Vice President of Sales, and Vice President of Operations. Prior to Ryder, Mr. Dawson worked at Penske Truck Leasing as a Commercial Rental Manager and at Budget Car and Truck Rental Inc. as a Local Market Manager.
