Mock Jury Exercises: Building Strategic Approaches for Effective Outcomes

Mock jury exercises offer trial attorneys and clients insights into how prospective jurors perceive a case, enabling the trial team to test and hone its strategy. Because jury exercises can be as complex and varied as trials themselves, it is critical for counsel to understand jury research options in order to develop a research program that best meets a client’s needs.

Join Practical Law for a free 75-minute webinar in which Dahlia Fetouh, a partner in Goodwin Procter LLP’s Business Litigation unit and author of “Mock Jury Exercises” and Sarah Heaton Concannon, also a partner in Goodwin Procter’s Business Litigation unit and an experienced trial lawyer, will explain the ins and outs of mock jury research.

In this program, attendees will:

  • Learn the types of jury exercises available, including the advantages and disadvantages of each.
  • Obtain practical guidance on setting up jury exercises, including how to select and work with outside consultants.
  • Explore special considerations, such as the size, scope, and timing of jury exercises, as well as critical guidance regarding the confidentiality of mock jury exercises and results; and
  • Consider real-life mock jury research, analysis, and outcomes.
A brief Q&A session will follow.
This program is approved for 1 hour of General CLE credit in CA & NY.
