Gail Perry is the editor-in-chief of CPA Practice Advisor. She also speaks at many accounting events, trade shows, and webinars. Gail is the author of over 30 books (including Mint.com For Dummies and the soon-to-be-released QuickBooks 2014 On Demand), and she maintains a small tax practice. Gail is a graduate of Indiana University where she earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. She returned to school to study accounting at Illinois State University, earned her CPA, and worked for Deloitte in the Chicago tax department. She has taught college-level accounting principles and was on staff for 10 years at the Indiana CPA Society as a computer applications instructor. Gail was the publisher and editor-in-chief of AccountingWEB before joining the CPA Practice Advisor team.
Devin is a Solution Design Manager for CCH Tax and Accounting where he manages a team of subject matter experts who support the sale of publishing and software solutions to accounting firms, professional service organizations, corporations, and financial institutions. Prior to his role as a Solution Design Manager, Devin worked as a National Accounts Manager where he supported the sale of software and workflow applications to national accounting firms. Devin came to CCH with the acquisition of ProSystem fx® Engagement where he consulted with accounting firms on implementing paperless audit and tax workflow. Prior to CCH, Devin worked as a Senior Accountant for a mid-size CPA firm in Orange County, CA specializing in real estate and construction accounting.
Devin is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University in addition to a number of technical certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA. Devin resides in Orange County, CA with his wife and two children where he enjoys coaching youth sports, golf, weightlifting, and mountain biking.
