Target Audience:

Pharmacist Program Goal:
To provide pharmacists an update on the regulatory parameters of marijuana and its characteristics and effects on patients.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, the pharmacist should be able to:

  1. Compare and contrast regulatory issues for use of marijuana in various states.
  2. Describe the clinical pharmacology of marijuana and its active components.
  3. Explain the various dosage forms of marijuana and their pharmacodynamic impact.
  4. Evaluate the potential therapeutic and adverse effects of marijuana.
  5. Identify potential drug interactions and consumer safety issues with marijuana use.

Requirements for credit:

To obtain credit, pharmacists must participate in the entire program and complete a program evaluation at the conclusion.
