Microsoft XP's End of Life: How retailers can continue to use Windows XP computers securely after April 2014

Available for viewing

Windows XP is scheduled for “End of Life” in April 2014, yet XP is still the second most widely used PC operating system in the world -- estimates suggest that 31% of all PCs are still running XP. The retail vertical market has a particular risk exposure – in many cases a significant number of store POS systems are running XP and will be for the next 2 - 3 years.  Another significant issue facing retail organizations with XP PCs at the stores is operating securely and maintaining PCI DSS certification when there are no more security patches from Microsoft.

Organizations are now scrambling to come up with adequate cost effective XP support solutions that can be implemented prior to April 2014. This webcast will examine the limited set of options available to retailers, including a new one that has just been released.

Join us to learn how this new XP support alternative:

  • Will allow retail organizations to move from XP on their own timeline while staying secure and keeping their regulatory certifications using XP on into the future.
  • Combines the active real-time protection of a customized agent running at the XP Endpoint with a monitoring service for actively monitoring and reporting on XP vulnerabilities and possible attacks to provide enhanced protection of XP and related applications.
