Darren is the Executive Editor of CPA Practice Advisor, and remains in public practice as the principal of Root & Associates, LLC, in Bloomington, Indiana, and president of his consulting practice, RootWorks. He formerly served on the Board of the AICPA's CITP Credentials Committee and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Indiana CPA Society. He speaks at dozens of professional organizations each year and frequently serves as a guest lecturer at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.

Samantha Lee
Samantha provides the day-to-day management of the roadmap, enhancement requests, market research and customer validation for a variety of products within the ProSystem fx® suite of solutions, including Practice Management, Practice Intelligence, Practice (SaaS) and Workstream. Samantha also has conducted training and consulting services for ProSystem fx® products.


Prior to joining CCH in 2006, Samantha worked for a large regional firm in the A&A, Tax, and Small Business services areas, where she helped launch ProSystem fx® Document and served as a member of the firm's Technology Committee. Samantha graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University with degrees in Accounting and Information Systems.
